IAMLADP: PRESENT, PAST, VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Membership

Membership in IAMLADP is offered to all intergovernmental and supra-national organizations with language and/or conference-servicing components. Universities are invited to participate in IAMLADP activities through its Universities Contact Group or JIAMCATT. Starting from the 2008 Annual Meeting in Strasbourg, universities were no longer invited as observers to the annual meetings in order to preserve their character of a forum dediated to confidential and focused discussions between employers. Requests to join IAMLADP as members should be submitted to the IAMLADP Secretary (United Nations, Albano Building, Room AB-0833, NY, NY, 10017, e-mail: shpiniov@un.org).

Annual Meetings
Annual meetings normally last 3 days and consist of a half-day Executive Session and a plenary session lasting 1.5-2 days. The proceedings of each session are reflected in separate reports drafted by the host and reviewed and issued by the Secretariat. In 2006 the Executive Session adopted a statement reflecting a common vision of the principles of reforming conference and language services, which was forwarded, as appropriate,
