IAMLADP is an international forum and network of managers of international organizations employing conference and language service providers. The Annual Meetings bring together managers from over 80 member organizations to share knowledge and experiences and discuss subjects of common interest. 

The 2019 Annual Meeting will be co-hosted by the two linguistic services of the European Parliament (DG LINC and DG TRAD) and the European Commission (DG SCIC and DGT), with the support of the Translation Service of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union and the two linguistic services of the Court of Justice of  the European Union (DG TRAD and CJEU-DI), in Brussels on 27-29 May 2019.

The Universities Contact Group of the Working Group on Training acts as IAMLADP liaison between international organizations and training providers, by promoting information exchange, cooperation and better relations between the two constituencies. DG Interpretation (SCIC) launches its online Knowledge Centre on Interpretation (KCI), a single, go-to space to manage and exchange knowledge, create synergies and disseminate best practices on conference interpretation and more. Further information, including how to sign up, can be found here.

A new version of the EU terminology database IATE (InterActive Terminology for Europe) is launched by the translation services of the EU institutions after two years of substantial redevelopment work.

JIAMCATT 2019 will be hosted by the European Commission in Luxembourg, from 13-15 May 2019. The theme will be “The Shape of Things to Come: How technology and innovation are transforming the language professions”
