JIAMCATT

JIAMCATT is the "International Annual Meeting on Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology". It was established as a IAMLADP task force and provides its participants with a forum for debate, exchange of expertise and cooperation in the fields of computer-assisted terminology and translation, interpretation and documentation retrieval.

JIAMCATT membership includes most international organizations, as well as various national institutions and academic bodies, active in the field of terminology and translation. All IAMLADP member organizations are ex officio members of JIAMCATT.  For more details, consult the membership and participation policy.

Participants come together for an annual plenary meeting and exchange relevant information and linguistic data via a dedicated website. Interest groups on specific topics (e.g. terminology, standards, the use of CAT tools, etc.) use online forums, e-mail and surveys to collect and share information.  The annual JIAMCATT meeting is complemented by JIAMCATT local meetings that bring together participants from a specific region.

If, after reviewing the Membership policy you feel you qualify for participation in JIAMCATT, and wish to do so, please download these instructions on how to register to access the new JIAMCATT website and its resources.  As the site is hosted within the European Commission's space, registration is a two-step process, step one being the correct acquisition of an EU Login.  If you have any queries, please contact the JIAMCATT Secretariat.
